Life Enriching Communities Twin Towers Greeno

Located on the Life Enriching Communities Twin Towers campus, whose history dates back to 1908, the newly renovated Greeno building provides much-anticipated assisted living apartments and amenities for the community. A complicated renovation of approximately 60,000 sq. ft. of existing apartment units, the project encompassed four floors within three connected buildings. These buildings, with multiple original construction dates and types, required significant coordination to update MEP systems, provide accessible and appropriately sized apartments, and add several new amenity spaces while working within the limitations of the existing concrete superstructure.

The renewed Greeno Assisted Living offers 61 assisted living apartments (1BR, 2BR, and Studios) with design features that accommodate mobility needs and encourage independence. The resident dining experience has been elevated with a new kitchen for more extensive food preparation and a dining room zoned to create a more intimate, communal setting — a much-desired project goal fulfilled.

Additional newly provided amenities include a Craft Studio adjacent to a new flexible Activity Room, a nursing suite with a consulting room, and postal boxes on each floor for resident convenience. Seating areas have been incorporated throughout to create places for purposeful connection, break up the length of the corridors, and provide resting spots for residents. The design overall encourages a sense of community and empowerment that supports residents’ well-being and vitality.
