K2M Design is providing architecture, interior design, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering services for the substantial renovation of this National Register of Historic Places building located in the Campus District on the edge of the Cleveland State University campus. Innovation Landing is a gem embedded in one of the most talked about areas in the city. With a billion dollars being invested in CSU, the Campus District is becoming a magnet for young professionals.

The building formerly 71,000 square feet of office space is being converted to 52 units consisting of studios, one and two bedroom units, as well as a 2500 square foot retail space. Balancing form and function, Innovation Landing features vaulted ceilings, an abundance of natural light, brand new finishes, quality fixtures, and modern appliances in every unit. The public space amenities support social interactions amongst college students and young professionals via the lobby, quiet study zones, multi-purpose room, and business center.

The work on the building exterior confirmed to the state historic preservation office standards in terms of the repairs made to the façade, the full roof replacement, installation of new “historically correct” windows, glazing replacement, concrete restoration, and significant masonry tuckpointing.
