The newest additions to Lutheran Community Home’s campus includes a 17 unit Independent living wing, a new prototype Garden Home, and a new 3-bay Facility Maintenance Garage. The new IL Wing includes a mixture of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with private baths, laundry and accessible cabinetry. Amenities include common areas, a new dining room, and a commercial kitchen. The prototype duplex Garden Home features generous living spaces, 2-porch areas, and a 2 car garage. The new Maintenance garage will give the community much needed repair space to service the community vehicles and an office and storage area for the facility staff.

Included on the campus as part of their continuing care service is the transitional home, Forest Path. Designed to care for residents with early stage Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, the home’s small size creates a homelike atmosphere for residents. Ten private rooms with private and secure patios open onto a shared cozy family room, spacious dining room, a full size kitchen, and a therapy room. This small house provides dedicated resident care by regular staff, building trust within the home. The Shared spaces allow residents to enjoy the freedoms of a home, while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
