Diana was destined to become an architect. At least her father always thought so when she was born on Frank Lloyd Wright’s birthday. “My dad saw this as a sign and bought me every single LEGO set available,” she recalls. “I was the only seven-year-old in my class with a full-size architectural easel in her room – the 40” x 60” one! This is how my love of design started.” Originally from the small border town of Mexicali, Diana is a devoted fan of UC Berkeley’s Golden Bears football, even though it’s been tough to stay loyal to her alma mater’s struggling team. With a passion for community service, she spent two years teaching and mentoring high school students as an AmeriCorps volunteer. She also finds amusement in gardening, hiking, biking, cooking, and tango dancing … and in the company of her cantankerous Bichon Frisé dog named Nacho Marley.
