Allen County Juvenile Justice Center
K2M Design partnered with Allen County to provide a complete design of a 20,000SF juvenile detention center.
Sunset Key Island
K2M was originally hired in the 90’s to design the master plan for the island, K2M also designed many of the home on Sunset Key, which has evolved into a nationally recognized residential/resort community of the highest standards.
Allen County Master Planning
K2M Design partnered with Allen County to provide a complete Planning and Facility Condition Assessment services for approximately 222,000 square feet of existing space and land that can and does support various Allen County entities. In addition the team is analyzing the following land in the Planning Services: Educational Services – 119 acres, Sanitary Engineer – 18 acres, and Portion of former ODOT site – 36 acres.
Cuyahoga County Justice Center
Cuyahoga County, Ohio awarded the facility assessment and master planning of the Cuyahoga County Justice Center to K2M and Osborn Engineering to set a course of viability of the 2.2M square foot Justice Center for the next 30 years. The facility was constructed in 1976, the entire campus encompasses approximately 2,290,000 square feet. The complex consists of the Cleveland Police Headquarters Building, the Cuyahoga County and Cleveland Municipal Courts Tower and the Correction Center which includes Jail I and Jail II.
Key West International Airport
The Customs terminal project included security enhancements, existing conditions analysis, interior design modifications to comply with US Dept. of Homeland Security standards, as well as relocation of the transit terminal, addition of a waiting area, reception desk and restrooms.
Monroe County Space Planning
Monroe County and the K2M Team undertook a comprehensive strategic needs analysis and facilities assessment for both the short-term (5 year) and long-term (25 year). The study develops a strategic master plan that provides a framework for existing/leased/new buildings and government functions. The plan considers consolidations and rearrangements to improve efficiencies and strive to enhance the County’s capabilities and performance. The team provided a four phase approach to the project which included: Needs Assessment, Facilities Evaluation, Development Options, and Strategic Plan and Recommendations.
Lake County Public Safety Center
K2M Design contracted with Lake County to project its jail capacity for adult and juvenile facilities for the next 20 years, to create a project program, evaluate a predetermined site, and estimate probable costs. We also studied inmate processing trends, classifications, and national trends comparison. We then created programs for the Sheriff’s Office, Jail, and Juvenile Detention Center. We are also incorporating Buildings & Grounds, Public Defender, Telecommunications, and local LEA in to the project. Included in the scope our team also facilitated an existing conditions comparative review for the County. These services included data gathering, report writing and meeting participation.
